about

A note from the framebuilder:

Building on a lifetime of riding and years of quietly building frames with other brands, in 2023 I founded Orchard Bicycle LLC as a rider/framebuilder-owned business.

Formal and informal education has been a lifelong passion for me, fueling a journey of skills building and personal growth. In addition to classes, apprenticeships, and professional positions, I’ve visited factories and framebuilders at every opportunity since the early ‘90s. I love seeing how others work, and I believe every builder - regardless of experience level, professional status, or volume of frames produced - has something valuable to share. I’ve learned from each, and apply this body of knowledge to my own work.

For Orchard Bicycle, this means attention to detail and the big picture: combining quality materials with well-proven techniques, mindful consideration of environmental impact, selecting and using components from like-minded industry partners. This means building each frame or frame-set one at a time to suit my customer, producing a bike we can both be proud of. This means clear and open communication. This means making the effort in each step - from first contact to follow up - to meet and exceed expectations.
